Don't worry, here are three basic tips to help immediately.
1. Run Slower
You're probably running too fast. Try finding your natural pace. Its the pace that's easy, relaxed, and comfortable. It is that pace where you can hold a conversation easily. And yes, it might be slow. Really slow, maybe even slower than walking. That's fine, just start there. As you build fitness, the pace will slowly increase.
2. Look Around
Where are you looking when you run? I'm guessing at the ground. Yes, you could trip. But no, that's not a big risk. So try looking around. Enjoy the scenery, take your mind off the running. Looking up from the ground a bit also helps with form, since the body tends to follow the head. It's quite possible you could be getting more oxygen from running taller.
Another tip with looking around is to play with and explore different visualizations. For example, imagine you could lasso a tree or mountain in front of you, and your mind is pulling your body towards the tree or mountain.
3. Relax your Shoulders
Check in with your shoulders from time to time. Chances are they're getting a little tense, starting to rise up towards your ears. Just relax them back down. This will make running much easier. It really doesn't take that much tension to run. Drive your arms but don't throw your shoulders into it.
There you have it! Happy running!
